Yes, half of these killer model bodies are mostly down to genetics (they are definitely blessed with the right height and proportions), but they also pay GREAT attention to their diet and exercise routine.

Since the model is always asking about their diet and exercise routine, I collected everything I could find through their social media and interviews.
I will share their favorite foods, as well as the 6 diet rules that I found in common with the most popular VS Angels and models – from Sara Sampaio and Candice Swanepoel to Angels Barbara Palvin and Kelsey Merritt it was recently linked.
Some models prefer to start their day with a high-protein, high-fat breakfast, while others prefer something higher in carbs.

The Angels, like the rest of us, seem to be obsessed with oatmeal (with blueberries and walnuts).
But since she’s also an avocado lover, Romee sometimes likes to swap oatmeal for delicious eggs and avocado toast.
Sara Sampaious usually makes eggs and avocado toast or Greek yogurt with fresh fruit to start her day. And if her schedule allows, she likes to make healthy protein pancakes.
For Barbara Palvin, breakfast often includes overnight oats or homemade granola with Greek yogurt. Both options are high in fiber and have at least some protein.

When it comes to lunch, you’ll find solid protein and plenty of fresh or cooked vegetables on most VS models’ menus. A typical day may include:
Martha Hunt likes to make her own salads and healthy dressings. Enjoys anything with kale, avocado or arugula. To make her lunch richer in protein, she adds tuna or chicken.
Jasmine Tookes and Josephe Skriver hang out a lot, so they often have the same thing for lunch. And one of the most popular is grilled chicken with teriyaki sauce and green vegetables.
Most VS Angels like a light dinner, especially those who prefer to start the day with a hearty breakfast.

Candice Swanepoelis is a great example! He often has a light dinner, something like vegetable soup, especially if he eats a heartier lunch. And she usually has a big breakfast (her favorite is eggs and bacon).
Adriana Lima, now a former VS model but still an icon, often makes fresh chicken salad for dinner.
Kelsey Merritt may be new, but she already knows that Angel VS. So for dinner he usually eats, but he always chooses the healthiest option: fresh vegetable salad or fish.
Lily Aldridge is one of the few models who likes a heartier dinner, so she likes to treat herself to a grilled steak every now and then!

Most Victoria’s Secret models like to have healthy snacks available at all times. They often work long hours, so it’s good to have something nutritious nearby.
Former VS Angel, Alessandra Ambrosio, always packed healthy snacks before she went to work and her favorites were energy bars with chia seeds, almonds and fresh fruit.
Also, former VS model Izabel Goulart has one of the toughest and healthiest workouts in the industry. She is extremely committed to health and fitness and it definitely shows! I mean, just look at her!

Izabel always has a snack after training, which is usually a protein shake. And a protein shake really is one of the best post-workout snacks.
And the gorgeous Gigi Hadidalways makes sure you have healthy snacks on hand. Her favorite things? Well, it’s hummus with carrots and fresh fruit. The same goes for her close friend Kendall.

Okay, yes! They are more likely to have cheat meals, or as we like to call them “treat meals” than cheat days.
For example, Adriana Limalová loves only a good chocolate cake and she admits that she finds it difficult to control herself in chocolate, but she is not the only one!
Karlie KlossandShanina Shaikare also about that chocolate. So Karlie treats herself to some dark chocolate every day. Her favorite brand is Hu Kitchen Dark Chocolate. And Shanina occasionally enjoys vegan hot chocolate!
On the other hand, Elsa HoskandTaylor Hill prefers something more spicy. So for Elsa, the perfect meal is a grilled cheese sandwich, and for Taylor, it’s pizza!

But remember, models eat healthy most of the time, so they can handle cheat meals or even cheat days from time to time. I think it’s important that they don’t limit themselves all the time and allow themselves to relax sometimes. 🙂

They also eat most of their carbs earlier in the day rather than at night. This is because your body is better able to metabolize carbs in the morning (and after exercise) and is less likely to store carbs as fat at this time.
To get in perfect shape before the show, Victoria’s Secret models avoid all sugar (except the natural sugar found in berries), alcohol, salt and limit their carbohydrates.

In most models, the carbohydrate sources come from vegetables; however, they allow Ezekiel bread and brown rice twice a week.
But some models tighten up a few weeks before the show. Shanina Shaik cuts out ALL carbs except those in vegetables.

Eating anything less than 1200 calories per day is very little and will likely damage your metabolism and cause all sorts of health problems. And if your goal is to lose weight, a damaged metabolism will only make it more difficult.

If you want to lose weight, you should eat with a small deficit, but it should not exceed 500 calories!
Then you have Taylor Hill, who says she eats up to 3,000 calories a day when training hard for the show. And if you think that Taylor really trains like an athlete, it’s not so strange.
But on average I’d say most VS models eat 1500-2000 calories a day – judging by their vlogs and social media.
In general, VS Angels tend to avoid alcohol, especially before a show! They know that alcoholic beverages are empty calories (meaning they contain no nutrients) and will leave you bloated.

They also know that our bodies burn alcohol before they burn food, so any food you eat while drinking or after is stored as fat.
