But immediately, Calabrese’s warm, Midwestern tone crossed the line, and we connected like old friends as we talked about goals, her dance training, modeling a healthy lifestyle for her son, and more.

One thing struck me: “Progress is under pressure,” she told me, why changing up your fitness routine is so important to get results. “It’s not bad stress, but you need a stressor – you need time in tension with your weight to build muscle, you need to practice different skills to get stronger, you can get faster – don’t get stuck.”

While she talks specifically about fitness, I also make “I thrive under pressure” a mantra for my professional life. Juggling redesigning a website and launching a gift guide in the same month? Autumn Calabrese’s Fitness Tips And 21 Day Fix Extreme

The series of four workouts (so far) includes three prenatal workouts (one for each trimester) and one postpartum workout. The exercise designed for the first trimester focuses on building a strong base through a series of eight movements. This will help increase muscle tone, increase circulation and endurance, and prepare your body to deliver your baby.

Weight-bearing movements engage the lower body, upper body, and core. If the weights are too heavy, set them aside and do the movements without them. Some of these moves test your balance, but don’t worry if it feels like it’s all over the place. Autumn explains that this can happen because your body is changing rapidly. But as your baby grows and you progress with these online pregnancy workouts, you should start to become more aware of your body and improve your balance.
